Meezaan Jaffrey, Pranitha Subhash, Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Rana, Rajpal Yadav and Johny Liver playing the lead roles in the film. The film was streamed worldwide on 23 July 2021 on the OTT platform Disney + Hotstar, instead of releasing it in theaters due to the corona virus epidemic.

The producer of the film Priyadarshan has returned to Bollywood films after 7 years.

It is a sequel to the 2003 cult comedy film Hungama, which starred Akshay Khanna, Rimi Sen, Paresh Rawal and Aftab Shivdasani in the lead roles. Apart from retaining the title due to being a sequel, another similarity between the two films is that both the films are remakes of Malayalam films.
