The film was earlier scheduled to be released on 30 July 2020.However, on 5 February 2020, a new release date of 8 January 2021 was announced. The film's intitial release date of 8 January 2021 has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film is now scheduled to release on 7 January, 2022 in multiple languages along with Telugu.

RRR Movie Audio Video Jukebox
Rajamouli's regular collaborator M. M. Keeravani is composing the score and soundtrack of the film.The audio rights of the film were purchased for ₹25 crore (US$3.3 million), by Lahari Music and T-Series, which was a record price for a South Indian album.[132] Lahari Music distributed the soundtrack in all of the South Indian languages, whereas the Hindi soundtrack is marketed by T-Series.
