The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on 18 February 2022. Originally scheduled for 20 August 2021, the premiere was postponed due to the closure of theaters in Kerala because of the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Then, the film's release date was pushed to 13 October 2021, but it was again postponed due to the same reason. it was then moved to 10 February 2021 but delayed again.
Aaraattu Malayalam Movie Budget
Unnikrishnan said that they estimate a budget of ₹18 crores, in which ₹30 lakh will be allotted for COVID-19 precautions, and the film would have a larger than usual crew by COVID-19 pandemic standards, which would take 60 days to shoot. The cast and crew agreed to work with a reduced remuneration considering the COVID-19 crisis. Unnikrishnan said that in a normal scenario the film would have cost ₹30 crores.

Aaraattu Movie Story - Plot
The movie's story is very interesting as Gopan, a real estate tycoon, buys a large piece of land in Chittur for construction purposes, but on his arrival, he learns that the residents are forcefully evicted from their properties by an Andhra-based real estate mafia. After that Gopal goes to the underworld mafia to get rid of the land of the local people there.
